The Village Market
is owned and operated by Local Chef Mickey Wood. Mickey spent the
years after college traveling across the globe. He's been to the Gulf
of Mexico, Scotland, the Gulf of Guinea and Nigeria. After finally
settling back into North Carolina Mickey always dreamed of returning
to Emerald Isle to be near his family. In 2003 The Village Market
caught Mickey's eye & Carolyn's ear & Mickey Wood was back in no
time. Most times you'll find him joking around with customers or
friends-But don't let his laid back style fool you. Mickey puts his
heart and soul into The Village Market. His goal: To make you a
sandwich good enough to write home about!
Molly Scott is legendary
on the island. She makes the best sandwiches and she's not scared to
tell you how you want it. When she's not making the best lunch on the
island you can catch Molly out fishing in the surf. Molly is the heart of
The Village Market and we are lucky to have her.
Cathy Martin, our resident photographer & sandwich maker
extraordinaire has artfully decorated our walls with her artistic snapshots
of everyday life. Cathy is a character, come prepared for her quick

Carolyn is our #1 cheerleader and
one of our main benefactors. Although Carolyn prefers to work behind
the scenes, you can be sure her insight and business sense are involved in
everything we do. Carolyn is also the 2001-2004 Top Overall
Producer/Selling/Listing Agent for
